The Sanctum Chaper Two~

Okay, I don't mean like the superpowers you'd find in books written in the old days, the ones where men can fly at the speed of light and all that.
They're more of little talents, or enhanced senses.
Buggy, she can sense when something's wrong in a person, what they're feeling. She just looks them in the eye and can suddenly feel what they're feeling.
Rhodes is springy, she can jump two feet above our heads, so I guess in all around seven feet high.
Nadia's features changes slightly to fir her surroundings, like if she were standing in front of a tree you'd see her skin and hair slowly start to change brown, which is noticeable, since she's pale with black hair.
Dianella zaps people. Literally. She can send a zolt of electricity up your arm and make your hair stick up.
I think you know June's. Her sight is razor-sharp. She can see past the littlest cracks in scenery. And me? I don't know. I don't have one.
As we near where June was pointing, I can see what she was talking about.
A river snuck its way in between the forest and a clearing. The clearing was small but it was perfect. There was even a few logs from trees long past on their side like seats. A little bit of fixing up and it would be home sweet home.
"Alrighty guys, say hello to our new home." I said leaning running over and leaning against a tree.
There was a chorus of relieved sighs, and even a dragged out finally from Rhodes.
"Okay, you know the drill. Buggy and Lia, go collect firewood and stones, June, Rhodes, go get some water from that stream, Nadi, give me one of your daggers and let's chop that pony." I distributed.
My girls got started on their work. Nadi came over and handed me a dagger and turned around.
I pushed off the tree and took her long, inky-black hair in my hand, and putting the dagger just above the rubber band, I cut it off.
"Lemme see," I said, turning her around by her shoulders.
Nadia shook her hair out and ran her fingers through it. I winced. Not my best work. Then again, when it comes to the hair cutting thing, nothing I do is really good work.
Nadi seen me wince, "How bad is it?"
It looked like a raven just sat itself on her head and ruffled its feathers out around her face. "Buggy can fix it later," I said, taking the hair in my hand out of the rubber band and walking over to the outline of the site, tossing the strands out.
Nadia shook her head and walked over.
"Buggy should just cut everyone's hair from now on." she said, taking a clump of hair out of my hand and starting on the other side of the clearing.
I smirked and looked at her, "Noted."
I was in a fairly good mood, we'd just found a new site, next to a water source too so we wouldn't have to walk to the end of the world and back just to get a drink or take a bath.
Yep, life seemed to be as great as it could be despite the obvious problem of being dumped into the woods with a blindness in our frontal lobes.
And then I heard Lia scream
